So these are the headband gurus behind ban.do. Seeing this lil' chitty chat just makes it all the more concrete as to how much I wish all four of these glassy-eyed girls were in my own gaggle of accessory-wearin' friends. Too cute. Especially you, hot pink-collared dress lady. You know, so I could maybe borrow it, then forget to give it back and stuff ... but you'd forgive me 'cause that's what fab-frocked friends do and stuff ...

Padded Sell

I'm ready for Autumn.  I am.  I'm ready for my wardrobe staples of sweaters and cardis to come out and play.  To take center stage.  No more hiding in the back of my closet 'cause the sun is currently shinin' and hoggin' it all.  Selfish little sunshine.  And to show them just how ready (and serious) I am about this whole needin'-the-season-to-change, I think I'm gonna get me some shell horn shoulder pads to accentuate 'em so they can finally have the spotlight shinin' on them again.  Yeah.

My heart hurts.  I've lost something, someone, that I know I will never have or find again so ... my heart hurts.  There are so many things I wish I could say to that special someone today as I go and celebrate the precious time we did have together (like this speech, word for word) but I fear the tears will fall instead.  Because today, today, my heart hurts.

Brace Yourself

You would think that by having what I believe to be the world's smallest wrists - really, I should measure 'em some time - that it would somehow deter me from putting on every single bangle that my eyes can see in any all all accessory departments I come in contact with.  But it doesn't.  Not even a little bit.  So it's nice to see that I'm at least keepin' up with the jewelry joneses by having this particular(ly) pilin' little tick o'mine.

Summer is packin' up and gettin' outta dodge pretty soon here to make way for her chillier cousins' arrival(s) so I'm a bit fashion-ly forlorn to the fact that I never got around to wearing (or buying) Nadinoo's tie blouse.  Oh well.  Luckily I still have a little time to save up and make this particular purchase.  Phew.  Just means when I finally do, I'll be layering it up 'til summer shows its easy breezy face 'round these parts again.  A small style sacrifice I am so willing to make.

These make me hearken back to a time when a simple, on-sale pair of white canvas Vans-esque shoes were purchased (along with a big ol' black magic marker) for the sole purpose being to cover them in quotes and words and such for my chic little clothing counterpart.  Which we totally did.  100% successfully, I might add.  Hmm.  Makes me wonder how much moolah could have possibly been made had we only started selling them ...

I'm admittedly the world's worst sewer.  For real.  I could only sew a button onto something if there was a gun pointed to my head.  I'm that bad.  So to say I live in fear of those three little letters D-I-Y would be the understatement of the century for me.  But when I saw this freakin' adorable (and what looks to be - dare I say it - fun and easy) fedora project, my fears melted ... err ... thawed a tiny bit, making me want to try it.  Because all I can envision now are three new little letters that could possibly be emblazoned across the front of it: B-E-X.  Yeah.

Earning My Stripes

Ulta The Ultimate

I walked into Ulta for the first time last week and the angels sang.  No, but, I was completely jaw-droppingly floored by what I saw inside.  Never again will I have to online-only order my beloved NYX (check out my eyes a-sparklin', thanks to this) or trek it to the nearest department store for an of-the-moment skin or hair care line(s) fix.  Nope.  Because it's all under this one, incredibly well-organized and convenient roof.  I'd bow down right now to further illustrate my point, but I think you get the idea.  Ulta, you really are the ultimate.

Thou Shalt Not Covet

I know, I know.  But I am.  I so am.  I mean, look at that dress!  From the fantastically floppy hat and neon yellow bowed string down to the perfect color complement of lilac-y ankle socks and neutral pulling-it-all-together wedges.  Gah!  I want it.  I really, really, really want it.  A lot.  A whole lot.  So much so ... Heeled By Hypnosis

Hypnotized.  Completely and utterly hypnotized by all the golden sparkles shimmering and shining upon the heels of that beauty of a shoe.  I even think it's safe to say that I've never ever seen anything more beautiful in my thirty one years of (a) sole-searching  life.  And that's the truth.  Alas, I don't believe my bargain budget could handle the heftiness attached to their particular price tag, so I won't be able to pet take them home with me any time soon ... so I'll just have to fill my glitter quotient by wearing these pretties instead.  A fine and very honorable, very acceptable second pair choice indeed, methinks.

Flowers In Her Hair

Now that I'm finally able to finagle my hair into a sweet bun atop my head, I'm constantly on the lookout for the next pretty little accessory I can pop on top of it to accentuate it even more.  So when My Diva's Closet contacted me saying they'd like to gift me my very own silky flower hair clip, I was ecstatic!  I got right down to picking-and-choosing business and selected The Pale Cream Gardenia.  And what do ya know ... it's a perfect fit for me and my bun.  Yes!  And, as if my goes-with-everything gardenia wasn't enough, they also very kindly included a you'd-never-know-it-wasn't-real pretty pink rose:

The Big Bag Theory

I can almost always be seen lugging around a very large - verging on humongous - purse around town because, for some reason, I feel it's as if it is silently egging me on, daring me to see just how many more tubes of lipstick I could possibly fit into it before I fall over.  Last count was .... umm ... about ten.  What?  I like that lipstick-y stuff.  But enough's enough.  I've decided to finally minimize my bag size and go much, much smaller and clutch-like.  With Mademoiselle Bagatelles' baggies.  The only problem?  I fear I may start collecting as many of these little lovelies as I have lipsticks ...

Supporting Role

I don't need much extra - if any - support when it comes to lingerie-ish (under) things like push-ups, underwires or extra strappage.  I'm a little on the small side, remember ... but that certainly doesn't mean that I don't want at least some support when it comes to wanting to look just as fancy-frilly as those that do have/need a little extra ... which is precisely why I intend on adding TLO's latest sexy set to my own boudoir's bust-haves.  Because I (and you) deserve all the support we can get ...

Lashed Triers

The fine folks over at Lingerie Please were kind enough to gift me with not one, but two pairs of fabulously feathered and fringed faux lashes to which immediatly after seeing them, became more than apparent that I'd have to enlist the modeling prowess of a certain and fellow fashion lover to wear while being snapped in them this past weekend.  (Thanks, C.  You're the bestest.)

We went for two completely different looks during our photo session to try and capture the individual coolness of each lash.  The first look is all about the pattern-on-pattern play of the stripe-y highlights of her bang(ed) head and the polka-dotty goodness of the longer-than-long lash.  A light dusting of color on the lid and a golden glossy pout finished the look.  Super duper pretty, no?

Now to number two.  The second look was all about the throwback to the classic-of-all-classic cosmetics look: the fabulously thick and fringe-y lined eye paired with the perfectly rubied and red lip.  We added the sparkly diamond stud for a little flashy fun to complement the just-right amount of shimmer on the lid and some rouge to the cheeks and called it done.

After seeing the totally dramatic and oh-so-dreamy effects a little extra lash love can make to any look,  I see no problem in adding just one more teeny tiny little step to my morning makeup routine by applying them, all the while conjuring up the next style situation a little feather or fringe fashion could call for ...
