Timin' Cowl

I'm literally counting down the end of these warm summery nights and days until the chilly, easy-breezy ones come bursting through just so I can wear big ol' comfy-cozy cowl scarves all up and around my neck again. I mean, doesn't this one make you wanna curl right up into it and take a nice long afternoon nap?

Cute Suit Riot

When I first saw this lovely little look, you can equate my behavior to that of a girl who had just seen The Beatles for the first time. Hands over cheeks, uncontrollable screaming, running in place, followed with utter tears of joy. So yeah. I like me a short suit. A black and white short suit, to be exact. So I'm gonna try and - wait for it - follow suit by mixing and pairing these striped shorts with a bold b&w blazer. Or two. And when I do, I'll hopefully too, be followed by RIOUTOUS applause ...

Grey Gardens

To round off this pants palooza, I'm ending it with a fellow blondie blogger's bargain-y, Grey Gardens-esque bottoms. Which I'm pretty head over heels for, by the way. Not just because I can actually afford the denim darlings (plus her whole ensemble is under $100), but because of their ankle-accentuating cute times, like, a gazillion cropped-ness.  SO great.

We're Gammin'

Gammin' Gammin' Gammin'. And I hope you like gammin' too. Which is totally what you should be doin' while you're disco-dancin' in these silky-slick and shiny showstoppers at what is fast-approaching and proving to be my forever pants-ed party.

Stud Finder

Shorts are considered to be part of the pants family, right? Like cute little cut-offy cousins or siblings, correct? Well I think so. And sometimes such siblings can be a bit rebellious in their wanting-to-be-noticedness. And I get that. I totally get that since I'm the baby myself. But. I'm pretty sure if I were to wear this particular lil' pair, some dark or patterned tights would MOST DEFINITELY be going underneath my gettin' all leggy wit it.

Fancy Pants

I'm officially inviting you all to the pants party that I am so obviously throwing this week. Because, yes, I just realized that blue bottoms are the only thing I've blogged about for the past three - now four - days straight. And naturally, as your hostest with the mostest, I wanna don the perfect pretty pair for such a shindig, soooo I thought I'd dress up my denim a bit with some delicate and dainty little flowers. Now who wants some punch?

Rock The Kasbah

Remember how I said that I wanted to start wearing nothing but slouchy navy trousers yesterday? Well. Today's a new day, which means I've changed my mind yet again, and now feel it oh-so-important and imperative to include all slouchy printed trousers (like the Kasbah Pant) into my style-ized statement too.

Boy Oh Boy

In true Gemini form, I find myself flitting from two polar opposite-y style sides: super duper girlie and terrifically tomboy. There are even days where I mix the two. Just because I can. And you should. When it comes to this fashion thing, of course. But with this current visual in my blogger's brain, I'm thinkin' I'll tip the sartorial scales once again to one side and lean towards all things boy oh boy. Starting with some slouchy navy trousers.

Beck The Ripper

Mayday! Mayday! I'm in the middle of experiencing a MAJOR style system overload here. From the perfectly plaid scarf all the way down to the pink patent leather-y heels du jour. So to keep myself safe as to not completely combust, I'm going to zero in and focus on the one element I need in my possession, pronto: those rad ripped jeans. And my three finalists are: 1, 2 aaaand 3.

Killer Tomatoes

I was getting my shop on in the cosmetic aisle recently when I stopped upon this killer brighter-than-bright orange crush-y, yet kinda sorta tomato red-dy little lipgloss. And I had to have it. Now, many may have fled at the mere sight of such a shocking shade, but not pout-picky me, oh no. I stood my ground and did just the opposite and grabbed it up quick.  Quick like lightning.

Center Of Attention

I was under the impression that bejeweled headpieces only looked good on members of the long-locked club. But after seeing this baubled bob adorned with such a pretty piece, I'm quickly beginning to rethink my stance on the whole thing. Maybe even enough to click, purchase and buy some gemmed head gear of my own so I, too, can be the center of attention.

Zip It Zip It Good

I'm beginning to clue in on why they call them clutches and envelope bags and pouches. Because as soon as you see them, all you wanna do is grab, hold and clutch 'em tight tight to your person and let them envelope both you and your entire ensemble. No doubt just like these beauties from Coriumi would do should I get and zip them in every pattern, size and color they come in. Which, P.S., I'm totally planning on doing, BTW.

Winged Eyegration

There's really no prettier cosmetic-y combo than that of a heavy-ish, loosey goosey bang + a wing-lined eye. And since I've only got one outta the two goin' on right now, I'm a-gonna focus all of my aesthetic attention and drama detail precision on my crush with eyeliner. And this  'curves ahead'  eye example

Necks And The City

In the age-old debate of City vs. Country Girl, although I have an indescribable fashion fascination and love for all things rugged and booted when it comes to my footwear, I'm a bonafide city girl straight on down to my core. And always will be. So I think it all kinds of appropriate to show some city pride 'round my neck with this colorfully-baubled and urban-y 'hood

Sunnies Side Up

Today's dainty and all sorts of darling do-it-yourself-er marks yet another in what is proving to be a very lengthy list of why-didn't-I-think-of-that pretty-pieced accessories. But really now, why oh why didn't I ever think to put and glue on cute little rosettes to the sides of my summer-iest sunnies, huh?  WHY

A Sneaking Suspicion

Call me crazy, but, if you've been obsessed with a certain pair of shoes for ALMOST TWO YEARS, don't you think maybe, just maybe, it's about time that you take some kind of action and buy yourself a similar pair you can wear before you go completely bonkers-bananas about the whole thing?!?!!? Me too.

Beanietown

Ok. So not only am I totally and completely into this gal's whole collegiate style and look, but now it's become painfully clear to me that I must, must, MUST own a slouchy red beanie too. Kinda can't believe I've gone this long without one. Where have I been? You know, to go with every little dress and cardi I already gots AND so I can be all collegiate cute and stuff too.

Pickpocketing

Taking a pair of scissors and cutting off a pair o' jeans into shorts is about as crazy as I get in my summery DIY-ness style. Whoa. I know. Hold me back, right? Who knows what I could do next!?! Martha (Stewart), who? But after seeing these poncho-ed, southwestern-y shorts, I'm kinda sorta wanting to pick these pretty pockets for my next pair AND this sisterly duo gave me the step-by-steps to do it all with. 'Cause they're sweet like that.

Getting Booted

Goodness me. May I please oh please just have those lace-up granny boots that gorgeous ginger is wearing up there? 'Cause I'm pretty sure if she and I were to ever meet in person and I complimented her on her shoe-buyin' mastery skills that she'd just smile, unlace them and hand 'em over to me instantly, understanding my need to have them, from one shoe lover to another. But since I probably never will meet this lovely lady, I'll settle for my own sassy shoeness with a purdy pair.  Or two.

Coiffy Talk

Best coif quote ever. I've had quite the strand self-realization as of late. And I like to think it's because I'm no longer in my "experimental twenties" where every tress-y trend seemed like the next best thing for me to try on for size and sport about. I've said it before (and I'll probably say it again and again and again) but I've been every cut and color of the rainbow, yet forever and always go (and come) back to my pretty lil' pixie. It's me. It's who I am and how I want to be perceived when it pertains to this hair atop me head. Forever and evvehh. Amen.

Nurse Becky

True story: I just bought ... err ... charged this darling dress and had it delivered to my doorstep yesterday. And immediately upon receiving it, pulled it up, over and on and stared at myself in the mirror thinking someone wasn't quite right. Decided to button ALL the buttons up and then I slipped on a pair of wedge-y oxford-ish nurse-like shoes and stared back in total sartorial satisfaction AND THEN I saw this picture. Fashion fate.

Dark Shadows

Thick, dark and terribly beautiful brows have I not. But oh-so-wish that I did. Because I happen to think really stark contrasts (such as my bright white-ish pixie hair and deep dark shadowy brows) are the shiznit. Good then that they invented such a thing as a brow pencil in almost every naturally-made color so I can draw and line 'em in to my little heart's content then, huh?

Charm School

I had myself quite the week/end filled to the brim with film after film, and while I love me some skintight spandex-y superheroes (I'm talkin' to you, Spidey and The Avengers), I'm always the most taken/enchanted with the little indies that could. Like France's Romantics Anonymous that I stumbled upon while flipping thru Netflix; and couldn't have been more charmed. Maybe it's because I saw (and see) myself in meek Miss Angelique or wish to find my own bumble-y, fumble-y Jean-Rene. Whatever the reason, I suggest you watch it.  Now.

Tote-al Recall

Hmm. Where oh where have I just seen a sweet southwestern textile-like design? Oh that's right. Right here. Yesterday, in fact, when I blogged all about a stitchy situation I was finding myself in, once again. And now look. Today I found this tote-ally textile-y twinner that just needs another accessory-lovin' owner to give it a good home, just like Ms. Ruby Born so obviously did.

A Stitchy Situation

I do believe the last time my hand held a needle and thread, I was in my teens. Yeesh. So obviously, I think it's safe to say that DIY ain't in my DNA, knowwhatI'msayin'? But particularly adorable little paired projects like this one pictured sure make it hard to resist the urge to try, try and try again 'til I can. Again.

I'm Like A Bird

I wanna fly away. Well, I wanna get Carried away, rather. I mean, I don't know a girl alive that doesn't remember literally gasping out loud when she saw Ms. Bradshaw's wedding attire and hairpiece onscreen for the first time. Whether we thought we could pull it off on our own or not. But now I'm gonna try. Try with a little help from my Now, Voyager feathered friends.

Waist Not, Want Not

Had I not laid eyes on this glorious picture-perfect street style snapshot, I never would have wanted to buy again or been reminded of the infinite chicness that a naturally high-waisted pair o' pants immediately brings with it. I mean, excuse my obvious Chandler Bing-ness here, but seriously - could this chickadee be or look any cooler?!? Um, well, no. No she couldn't. It's just not possible. And now I gotta do the same thing.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

I had my very own mini follicle firework show when I saw these heavily-blunted bangs; then, just as quickly, I remembered I gots me a pint-sized pixie in (coif) comparison. I guess I could always wait a bit to grow my own out or try out some clip-ons, but I think I'm just gonna settle for swiping some red lips instead.

Yellow Fever

Good day, sunshine! That seems to be the only appropriate thing to write down here when I look at those happy, happy little striped and pocketed pants that are most definitely letting the sunshine right on in! And I think I'll say my sunny piece with a garden full o' flowers by wearing pairs one, two, and three, 'cause when I do, it's gonna be a bright, bright sunshine-y day.

Metaphorically Speaking

I loooooved the movie, Moonrise Kingdom, like Lionel loves his record player, like the Khaki Scouts love Snoopy, like Mr. Bishop loves plaid pants, but most of all ... I looooved this just-barely-seen-solo-yesterday flick like Sam loves raccoon hats and Suzy loves saddle shoes. So basically, I loved it. I loooooved it A LOT.

I TOTALLY Do!

Whenever I dream up my maybe, possibly, someday hitchin' nuptuals, there is one word that never seems to cross my mind: traditional. Even the near whisper and sound of it makes this fashion worshipper kinda sorta wanna shudder all over. Yeesh.

And the thought of wearing a bright white frock against my already-too-pale skin is another definite no-no/determining dream factor too. Fo' sure. Besides, isn't this faux-for-now wedding day supposed to be the one day in my lil' love life that should reflect exactly who I am, style wise?  Above all others?

Oh. And one more thing. Just a random Sunday thought, really. Do you think it could ever be considered possible and/or legal to marry an inanimate object? Like, say ... a ruffle-y lime green and neon dress, for example? Because I do. I TOTALLY do.
